Attached is the video that Sean and I did for speaking engagements. This is a little look at our 2009 year in Kenya. The song is called Change by Carrie Underwood (on her new cd "Play On".)
Hi Meredith, I found your blog thanks to Google, as I was searching for blog related to Kenya/Africa. My name is Jen, and I've been blessed with the opportunity to go to Kitale, Kenya with a small team in May. I'm very excited, and doing all I can to prepare (my heart and otherwise) for what God would have me do there. I've been to Mexico twice, and have found that I haven't yet been called to a particular place...I just love people. It was wonderful reading about your heart for the people of Africa--it sounds like you are very much at home there. I look forward to possibly finding "home" there--just waiting on the word. :) I enjoyed stopping by--grace and peace to you, Jen
so, i was finally able to watch your video... last time it wouldnt let me... SO SWEET. and great song, hadn't heard it before. Love you sweet friend, yall are amazing at what you do, you ARE changing the world!
My first visit to Kenya, Africa was in April of 2005. I instantly fell in love with the culture and the people. I then realized that this is the place that God called me to be - in Africa. So I gave up the comforts of North America and moved here. It's one of the best decisions I have ever made. I'm in love with this place; it is my home now. Some people may call it crazy but I call it home. It is where God has called me to serve Him and I do it, with more than a joyful and cheerful heart.
I love my nieces and nephews; I pray that they grow to be women and men that God intended them to be. I love the laughter that comes from them and the innocence that shines through them. I love my family and friends and am so thankful for God putting each of them in my life. They have all taught me things that I will forever cherish.
I love my Lord and Savior. He died for me; He carried my sins so that I can be with Him someday. He provides a love that is so unconditional, we will never fathom it. How blessed am I!
